Trump faults Sri Lanka's condolences: 138 million people have died!
US President Donald Trump, on his Twitter page, chastised the victims of the bombings that hit several churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter morning.
The tirade, which conveyed condolences to the people of Sri Lanka and the willingness to provide assistance, was not without a major error by President Trump, who said in a glee that the number of victims reached 138 million.
"Our heartfelt condolences from the people of the United States of America to the people of Sri Lanka for the terrorist attacks on churches and hotels that have killed at least 138 million people and wounded 600 others.
The e-mail was deleted after it was posted.
"The rise in the number of victims in a series of explosions that hit several churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter morning killed at least 160 people and more than 360 injured," Sri Lanka's first news channel reported.
